Quality over calendar spam
These standards keep San Diego Events This Weekend useful, honest, and reader-first.
Accuracy first
Weekend schedules change. We therefore avoid publishing specific event date/time/price combinations unless we can verify them from a primary source—and even then we prefer linking out rather than mirroring listings that go stale.
No invented listings
We do not fabricate concerts, festivals, showtimes, or ticket prices to appear “fresh.” If we cannot point you to a real venue calendar, we leave the detail out.
Clear labeling
The site is labeled as an independent guide on key pages. Venue mentions are for orientation, not endorsement. Photos are royalty-free stock images with descriptive alt text; we never present them as official shots of a specific venue, show, or event.
Linking policy
When we link to venues, we aim for official organizational websites. We omit destinations when we are not confident a URL is current and official.
Updates
Category guidance is evergreen. Venue link lists may be reviewed periodically; if a link breaks, we prefer removing it over leaving a dead path.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error about how this guide describes itself or a broken official link, we welcome corrections through ordinary editorial review. We do not collect contact forms that harvest personal data for marketing.
